CalDAV Provider Configuration

Getting started, configure your services

The app supports various options for synchronizing your device with a server. The use of CalDAV is one of these options. To synchronize your device with a CalDAV server, you need to create a configuration that contains all the information to reach your server. To do this:

  1. Start CalendarSync and begin to configure your calendars. For this press the second button from the top.
  2. Choose the guided configuration mode (green button at the bottom), the other default settings are already fitting your service. So you can confirm the when the app asks if the current settings are suitable.
  3. Scroll down and select your calendar service, e.g., Apple iCloud. If you don't know which one to choose contact us. Even if your service is not listed its most likely supported.
  4. Let the app guide you through the configuration, enter credentials, search and select calendars to synchronize, etc.
  5. Contact us in case of questions. The app supports many use cases, even rare ones like to prevent the synchronization of attendees etc.

As soon as the calendars have been configured, synchronization can begin immediately:

  1. By synchronizing manually (top button on the home screen)
  2. By synchronizing automatically (you can activate automatic synchronization in the app settings).

Both approaches can be combined. Even more approaches are supported, e.g., to sync from inside an calendar app or widgets.

MOCO

For MOCO your calendar url should look like this (for the guided config mode):

https://$SystemName$.mocoapp.com/caldav/principal/

MOCO uses a custom synchronisation password for its online contact and calendar data service which seems to be different from your normal login credentials. To look it up log into your MOCO profile. The integration details hold a CardDAV-Password (for contact synchronisation) and a CalDAV-Password (for calendar synchronisation).

During the configuration the app will ask for following details which will replace the placeholders in the given url:

$SystemName$ => The system name chosen by you or your administrator
